Are you feeling 2022?? I can’t believe this year is over already, it feels like such a blur!
But I’m happy to present to you my epically, curated list of party ideas for a “Feeling 2022” New Year’s Eve party, inspired by Taylor’s music video “22“! This list would also work for “Feeling 22” birthday parties too!
I’m loooving this idea because one, it’s, literally, perfect since Taylor’s new version of Red just came out last month, and two, because I feel like we need other options for NYE other than the basic black, gold, silver, and white options. A decade ago, super detailed themed parties were my thing. A lot has changed around here since then but I still love a good party that has attention to the details!
While planning my design for a “Feeling 2022” printable, the idea to do an NYE party inspired by the “22” video hit me.
You’ll find that many of my best ideas usually like to present themselves SUPER last minute like this so I apologize for the lack of time you have to plan creating your magical party. Hopefully this list will give you some ideas and be a good starting point though!
1, 2, and 3: GIANT NUMBER BALLOONS:
These giant 34-inch number balloons are the perfect statement piece for any party! And they make great photo opts for your gues

4, 16. WHITE and RED LATEX BALLOONS:
In the 22 video, red and white latex balloons can be seen on the floor, in the pool, and being tossed around the party. Fun for guests and, the best part, no helium required!
5. COUPE GLASSES:
Coupe glasses are great for serving cocktails but even greater for building an epic drink tower like you’ll find the girls’ doing in “22” with a red, spiked punch.
6. Red (Taylor’s Version):
Taylor’s version of Red was just released at the beginning of last month. If you haven’t listened to the new “All Too Well”, watched the “All Too Well: The Short Film“, and watched the “I Bet You Think About Me” music video yet what are you doing with your life? They’re sooooo good!! Blake Lively directed the “I Bet You Think About Me” music video and it’s fanfreakintastic!! I love seeing the female perspective for the video, we definitely need more female directors!!

7. BLACK SEQUIN SKIRT:
This is inspired by Taylor’s outfit towards the end of the video. Finding a sequin skirt that was in stock in a variety of sizes was more challenging than I thought it would be but luckily I was able to find a few options.
8, 14. POM-POMS:
Taylor and her friends can be seen shaking similar pom-poms in the video. It would look great in videos for some of your guests to be shaking pom-poms while others shoot confetti canons before the ball drops!
9. BLACK FEDOR HAT:
Whenever anyone has on a fedora, a friend of mine always proclaims loudly “one fedora per group!” Taylor and her friends follow this unwritten rule in 22.
10. RED HEART SUNGLASSES:
Simple yet chic red, heart shaped sunglasses can be seen being worn by Taylor and her friends throughout the video. Definietly great to have around for photo ops!
11. CAT EAR HEADBAND:
Taylor can be seen rockin’ a similar super cute gold, cat ear rhinestone headband as her birthday crown in the 22 video.
12, 17, 22. DISCO BALLS:
Different size disco balls can be seen during the party at the end of the video, and they make great photo props and decor!
13. SMALL SILVER 2022 BALLON BANNER:
A small, 2022 balloon banner is nice to have around just in case anyone has too many adult beverages and forgets what year we’re celebrating.
15. FAKE HIPSTER GLASSES:
Because it’s a perfect night to dress up like hipsters!!!
18, 25. SWING & LIGHTS:
I love the scene in the video where Taylor is on swing, such a cute photo op! I will say though, lights on a swing with heavy drinkers around may quickly turn into a bad situation so know your crowd. However, it will definitely make a super cute photo op if your guests know how to handle their booze.
19. PARTY LIGHTS:
Party light are a must for a legit NYE dance party!!
20. BLACK SEQUIN TOP:
Taylor’s black sequin top is the cutest shirt ever. I was surprised how difficult it was to find a cute alternative that was in stock and had a variety of sizes. Quick! Someone alert the fashion designers! I am super picky though, so maybe just alert me by sending me links to other options that I may have missed!

21. GIANT ICE CREAM CONE:
A giant, strawberry ice cream cone can be seen being tossed around the party towards the end of the video, but vanilla would be a fun option too!
23. RED CUSHION:
Red cushions in different sizes would be a great way to bring color into the party and are also super comfy for guests!
24. NOT A LOT GOING ON RIGHT NOW SHIRT:
Although not sequined like Taylor’s shirt in the video, this makes a super cute alternative!

26. CONFETTI CANNONS:
Absolutely perfect for guests to use for the countdown!
